The Embroidery Stitches There Are Many Types Of Stitches That Can Be Used To Create A Design
There are a variety of embroidery stitches. The type of stitching that we use for your logo is determined by the design itself. Our goal is to capture the details of your design so that it comes
out crisp and clear.
Most text is done with what is called a satin stitch. The satin stitch goes from one side of the letter to the other and back. The text will have a satiny feel to the touch and will be raised slightly above the surface of the item. The Law & Order logo below is an example of a satin stitch.
Large areas of embroidery are done with what is called a tatami or interlocking stitch. The tatami stitch is a tight interwoven stitch that is perfect for filling in large areas of embroidery in a design. The large yellow and black areas in the character below are examples of when we would use a tatami stitch.
Another type of stitch that can be used is called a “running” stitch. The running stitch can be use for text that is too small to embroider with a satin stitch. It can also be used as an outline for a design.
The design of your logo will determine which type of stitch we would use. Lets say your logo is text that is on top of a blue background. What we would do is use a tatami stitch to embroider the background first. Next, the text would be done with a satin stitch on top of the background stitching to complete the design.
There are a number of other embroidery stitches that can be used for a variety of reasons. Maybe your design needs an underlay or a tack down stitch. Whatever your need is we will deliver.
