What is a Cap Frame?

Cap Frame

Like the headline above asks, what is a cap frame? Better yet, what does it have to do with embroidery and why is it important that we use one when we embroider your caps?

Let's start with what a frame is. Basically, it is a metal clamp that caps fit into. A variety of cap styles can fit into the frame. All baseball cap styles fit including structured and un-structured caps which is important considering how popular un-structured caps are today.

The frame locks into the industrial embroidery machine. Once the frame is in place the cap is ready to have your logo embroidered onto it.

The reason the frame is so important is because it keeps the cap secure on the machine. This guarantees a clean, crisp embroidered logo.

The frame also allows the embroidery machine to rotate the cap so that the logo can be evenly embroidered. Embroidering caps is a little different than embroidering a logo on the left chest of a flat pollo shirt. We have to account for the circular shape of the cap.

Caps easily slip into the frame which has a three point clamping system to ensure that the cap stays in place.

If you need to have caps embroidered with your logo then let us put our years of experience to work for you. You can reach us at 818-255-0862. If it is after hours you can click the link below and fill out the short form. We look forward to working with you!
